The Singing Garden Verona Risuona

The Giardino Giusti once more plays a leading role, this time on the occasion of the XIVth edition of Verona Risuona riconversione sonora di spazi urbani – a sound and digital art festival curated by the Accademia di Belle Arti of Verona, the Conservatory of Verona and the Gothenburg Academy of Music and Drama (Sweden), and coordinated by the cultural association Diplomart, whose work was commended as “the best project of the European year of creativity” by the Italian Ministry of Culture. The event will include a series of concerts, installations and performances in a number of spaces throughout the city, created and executed by large numbers of musicians, artists and citizens from 27 May to 1 June.

The Giardino Giusti will host two performances, beginning at 19.00 with The Singing Garden. The project is an attempt to recreate the density of experience of a Renaissance garden, creating an ambience and a sound itinerary which takes the visitor on a journey along paths and into different areas of the garden, each representing the diverse aesthetic niches. The graphic score has been elaborated from the work of the composer by the Swedish composer and sound artist Staffan Mossenmark, and is executed by a Verona Risuona musical ensemble. The performance lasts 45 minutes.
